1. The Office of Institutional Research and supports the college by providing data for accreditation, compliance, and conducting analysis for assessment, planning, and internal decision making.
2. The Financial Aid Office coordinates Federal Work , which provides employment for students.
3. Students participate in 130 and organizations, including student government, sports, academic and social organizations, and special interest clubs.
4. A maximum of 45 credits can be applied to a degree program, or 70% of the credits required to a certificate program.
5. The Montgomery College participatory system provides all members of the college community with the opportunity to express their opinions and make recommendations about how the institution should function.
6. Montgomery College has been accredited by the Commission on Higher Education since 1950, and maintains this status through self-study and periodic review.
7. The Center for on our Germantown Campus is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education.
8. The President’s Committee on Equity and Inclusion was established in November 2017 for a two year term to help create an inclusive, civil, and respectful community that achieves equity for all Montgomery College students, employees, and business partners.
9. The Board of Trustees Academic Scholarship is for talented Montgomery County high school graduates who plan to enroll at any Montgomery College campus.
10. The Management Leadership Program is a scholarship and educational program that supports, develops, and graduates ethical leaders who want to energize and give back to their local communities.
11. 2 College is a comprehensive program that provides veterans, active-duty service members, and reservists with specialized academic support and opportunities.
12. Each campus has a Student consisting of students elected by their peers to represent the entire student body.
13. Crucial for Dialogue® is a class that teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics—at all levels of the organization.
14. The Learning Institute is committed to creating and fostering a variety of intellectually stimulating educational opportunities for Montgomery County residents age 50 and over.
15. MC Guided is for all new students who need to complete, for the first time, assessments for course placement in English, ESL (English as a Second Language), Math and/or Chemistry.
16. Montgomery College offers a variety of services and supports through our discipline-specific Learning to help students meet the rigors of academic coursework.
17. MC offers 20 fully degrees and certificates (12 degrees and 8 certificates).
18. MC Innovation supports mission-driven innovation through grant programs, and more.
19. Through our MC initiative, students can take courses and even earn a degree without spending any money on textbooks.
20. The Student Health and Center aims to provide holistic, person-centered services to promote students’ health and wellness by providing information and programming that addresses basic needs, and emotional, physical, spiritual, and social well-being.
