alsa legend Luis Enrique is back to spice up the stage. Better known as “El Príncipe de la Salsa,” he is one of the best percussionists in Latin music and the most prominent Nicaraguan singer/songwriter of all times. With 3 Latin Grammy Awards, an American Grammy, 4 Latin Billboard Awards, and many more recognitions, Luis Enrique is one of the most respected artists in the Latin entertainment industry and one of the leading pioneers of the salsa romantica movement in the 1980s. With an aggressive and bright musical style with a smoother, more emotive sensibility, Luis Enrique laid the groundwork for salsa and Latin pop artists to follow, such as Marc Anthony and Victor Manuelle.
Most recently, Luis Enrique released the acclaimed albums Ciclos (2009) & Soy Y Seré (2011), produced by renowned producer Sergio George. In 2013, he participated in Broadway’s production Forever Tango; a production, which includes 16 tango dancers, one vocalist and an 11-piece orchestra that featured the debut of the Nicaraguan singer into the world of Broadway. In 2014, Luis Enrique launched his latest album JUKEBOX “Primera Edición,” the first in a series of musical productions that combine a powerful compilation of his hits. This musical masterpiece includes some of the most influential work of singers and composers of the last decades, including Franco De Vita, Ricardo Montaner, Juan Gabriel, José José, Michael Bolton, Juan Carlos Calderón, Danny Rivera, Ilan Chester and Donato y Stefano. When you combine tremendous talent and the expertise of a multi Grammy winner dream team of producers, arrangers, musicians and engineers with a fascinating selection of the greatest Spanish hits of all times; remixed by adding the flavor and passion of the Latin Tropical Rhythms you get amazing new Salsa versions of these all-time favorite songs.
