The F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference will be held this weekend on October 22nd. Rockville is the final resting place F. Scott Fitzgerald. Montgomery College honors his achievement with the presentation of the 16th Annual F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Award for Outstanding Achievement in American Literature which will go to Maxine Hong Kingston. Authors, writers, the admiring and the curious will gather to learn about fiction and non-fiction writing from panels, presenters and each other. Potomac Review’s own Julie Wakeman-Linn will announce the publication of Their Voices, Their Stories, an anthology of stories written by the Bethsaida Orphaned Girls’ Secondary School in Tanzania. The 16th Annual F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Contest Winners will be named. Montgomery College students, faculty and staff can attend for free, but they must register. Rates vary for students outside of Montgomery College and for non-students.
