The F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference is again being held in Rockville, Maryland where Fitzgerald, Zelda and their daughter are buried. Every year includes interesting literary surprises at this Montgomery College-hosted event which will happen on October 22nd. Maxine Hong Kingston will be honored. Kingston is the recipient of numerous awards including the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the presidentially conferred National Humanities Medal and the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters from the National Book Foundation. Montgomery College students, faculty and staff can attend for free, but they must register. Rates vary for students outside of Montgomery College and for non-students with fees lowest before October 7.
