I found this video on VQR’s blog, and it is as they said, mesmerizing. To be able to print a 300 page book that quickly is unbelievable. I could see this being quite helpful or something that was created too late in the world of books now that Amazon’s Kindle and Google Books have been introduced to the public.

In a post by Tor.com, they mention how the University of Michigan Shapiro Library has bought an Espresso Machine:
“The EBM will offer printed and bound reprints of out-of-copyright books from [the University’s] digitized collection of nearly 2 million books, as well as thousands of books from the Open Content Alliance and other digital sources.”

I think one of the first implementations of it is a extremely worthwhile and am curious to see if this machine will catch on or not.
